  International trade may seem to be a complex process to some Manufacturers and so they tend to disregard the enormous potential their products could have in the sale in foreign markets. It is however, with the right help, not that difficult at all. You may not be familiar with International Commercial Terms, (known as incoterms), such as FOB, FAS, CIF or EX WORKS etc., or Banking terms such a Irrevocable Letters of Credit (L/C), Bills of Exchange or Shipping terms such as Bills of Lading but that’s where professional organisations such as  Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers are used to make the whole process seamless and trouble free. Whether you are trading by Land or Rail across domestic borders, or by Sea or Air to international destinations, the process is almost identical. Once mastered, it will become second nature and open up new avenues for new product lines by manufacturers.
